Automotive technician, mechanic, service technician, ASE mechanic
We are a family-owned independent repair shop in Costa Mesa that is growing quickly and needs an experienced Master level technician who is knowledgable of all makes and models. We are looking for somebody who takes pride in what they do and knows how to work. We pride ourselves in providing better than dealership level service, without the dealership pricing. Please have over 5 years of experience as a technician. We offer top pay to the highest caliber of technicians. ASE certification is a plus. The ability to work on European, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles is a plus. BMW or Jeep/Dodge dealership experience is a plus. Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with occasional Saturdays.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience as a technician
- Must be able to communicate effectively with service advisors
- Must be able to efficiently and accurately diagnose all levels of vehicle concerns
- Must have good time management
- Must be self motivated
- Must be a team player focused on taking care of the customer
- Must be honest and dependable
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday
- Must have valid drivers license
- Must be able to pass drug screening, background and driving record check
- Must supply own tools
- Be familiar with diagnostic tools and software and scan tools
Duties:
- Review repair order from service advisor and address customer concerns
- Perform complex diagnosis on any vehicle system and communicate findings to service advisor
- Perform visual inspection and provide necessary recommendations to service advisor with thorough information
- Perform repairs of high quality and accurately document work performed
- Keep shop area clean
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
