Position Overview:
The Auto Service Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by managing the service process from start to finish. You will greet customers, assess their vehicle concerns, provide repair or maintenance recommendations, and ensure that work is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
- Act as a communication link between customers and the service technicians.
- Provide detailed explanations of services needed, estimated costs, and repair timelines.
- Advise customers on routine maintenance and offer additional services based on vehicle needs.
- Prepare repair orders and follow through with service processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate repair progress and any changes in estimates or timelines with customers.
- Upsell additional services or repairs as necessary.
- Ensure that all work meets dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Handle customer complaints and follow up to ensure long-term satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of service orders, customer details, and repair histories.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repairs, maintenance procedures, and parts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain complex mechanical concepts to customers in simple terms.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using service software and basic office tools.
- Customer-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
- Valid driver’s license.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior automotive service experience is preferred.
- Certification in automotive technology or a related field is a plus.
Base Salary: $80,000 to $100,000
