APPALACHIA ENERGY PARTNERS is seeking a skilled mechanic to assist in all facets of our business. We are interested in adding a mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair company machinery and vehicles. This includes, but is not limited to: tractors, blowers, N2 trailers, etc. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, engines, and mechanical systems. This is a full-time position.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements
  • Inspect machines, engines, transmissions, etc.
  • Run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
  • Conduct repairs or replace broken dysfunctional parts aiming for maximum reliability
  • Troubleshoot reported problems accurately & resolve them in a timely manner
  • Conduct thorough routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, & systems to ensure functionality & longevity
  • Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
  • Replenish fluids & components of engines and machinery
  • Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
  • Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
  • Undertake other duties assigned (repair of hydraulic systems, paint/logo vehicles, etc.)
  • Keep detailed logs of work and report on issues

 

 

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience as a mechanic
  • Must furnish own tools
  • Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical, and other systems & components
  • Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems & methods
  • Skill in using various hand tools and precision measurement tools
  • Ability to follow established procedures & practices
  • Ability to read instruction, blueprints, etc. and follow accordingly
  • Strong commitment to all health and safety company guidelines
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Good physical strength and stamina
  • High school diploma is preferred – certification from vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a plus
  • Valid certification (ASE) is preferred
