Purpose: 聽
The Fleet Mechanic position is responsible for truck and trailer repair and maintenance as directed by Shop Manager.聽 The Fleet Mechanic will be in complete support of and willing adherence to NHT鈥檚 mission, vision and core values and hold these standards as his/her own.

路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Be able to trouble shoot and repair problems related to electrical, mechanical, air and hydraulic systems on Class A聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 tractors
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Repair refrigeration units on trailers
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Repair refrigeration units on trailers
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Evaluate equipment for safety issues
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Learn proficiency in Emdecs Kona fleet management software
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Provide detailed report of work performed and repairs made to equipment
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Properly and safely use of tools
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Safe use of lifting equipment and jack stands
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Keep a clean and safe work environment
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Adjust to changing work schedules and emergencies
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Ability to work alone while in the shop

Education & Experience:聽
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽High school diploma or GED / equivalent experience
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Previous experience as a Mechanic
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Possess a basic knowledge and skill set in diesel/trailer mechanics

Physical Requirements / Environmental Conditions:
The Fleet Mechanic will have to spend possible long hours standing and possible heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.聽 NHT Logistics, Inc can be a busy facility, and the Fleet Mechanic may have to manage a number of projects at one time and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of other mechanics and the Shop Manager.聽 The Fleet Mechanic may find the environment to be busy, noisy and will need excellent organizational and time and stress management skills to complete the required tasks.

Work Hours:聽 Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
