The Heavy Diesel Lube Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance services and basic repairs on heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment. This includes oil and filter changes, lubrication, inspections, and minor adjustments to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

industries including manufacturing, transportation, retail, and energy in the eastern and midwestern United States.
Essential Functions:
Perform routine oil and fluid changes on Class 6-8 diesel engines and related heavy equipment
Lubricate chassis, wheel bearings, and other moving parts
Replace air, fuel, and oil filters
Inspect and top off fluid levels including transmission, coolant, hydraulic, and DEF
Conduct multi-point inspections and report defects or needed repairs to supervisor
Assist with minor mechanical repairs as needed under the direction of a mechanic
Maintain clean and safe work areas, tools, and equipment
Document work performed on maintenance logs or work orders
Comply with all safety and environmental regulations and company policies
Operate service trucks and other shop equipment safely and responsibly
Identify and report issues that require more advanced diagnosis or repairs
Previous experience as a diesel lube technician or similar role preferred
Knowledge of diesel engine systems and lubrication procedures
Basic mechanical skills and ability to use hand/power tools
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various conditions (outdoors, confined spaces, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Work Environment:
Exposure to oil, grease, fumes, and noise in a shop or field service setting
May require standing, bending, or kneeling for extended periods
Occasional overtime or weekend shifts may be required
Ability to lift 75+ lbs regularly.
Comfortable working in confined spaces or at heights when needed.
Stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
Outdoor and industrial environments; exposure to dust, chemicals, noise, and temperature extremes.
