Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at ETI. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic who possesses exceptional problem-solving skills, advanced diagnostics abilities, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

·       Work independently in the field as a heavy equipment Field mechanic.  

·       Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment, including scrapers, dozers, and excavators etc..

·       Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth operations.

·       Train and mentor junior mechanics, providing guidance on complex repairs, diagnostics techniques, and safety protocols.

·       Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts inventory, and maintenance activities.

·        Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and equipment specifications.

·       Properly Maintain supplied Mechanics truck and other company equipment

Requirements:

·       At least 5yrs of experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment. CAT experience a plus.

·       Experience with diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

·       Proficient in using diagnostic equipment, tools, and software relevant to heavy equipment diagnostics.

·        Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.

·       Ability to inspect heavy equipment and identify defects and performance issues both in the field and in the shop.

·       Must have own tools applicable to the position.·        

·       Maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems on a variety of construction equipment and tools.

·       Perform required visual inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on a variety of construction equipment.

·       Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to heavy equipment maintenance and repair.

·       Skilled in welding and cutting.

·       Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

·       Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
