Experience and Education:
Four years of recent skilled mechanical experience, at least one of which includes servicing and repair of heavy duty vehicles and equipment. Satisfactory completion of courses in the repair of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment may be substituted for the one year of heavy duty vehicle and equipment experience required. Courses must be approved by the Human Resources and Fleet Services Divisions and must include hydraulic, electrical, fuel systems, engine and transmission overhaul.
License and/or Certificates:
A valid Class B California driver's license must be obtained within six weeks of hire date.
