Mid-City is looking for a Lube Technician, or oil change technician, performs routine maintenance and basic vehicle repairs, primarily focusing on lubricating parts and ensuring vehicles run smoothly. They change oil, replace filters, check fluids, and rotate tires, while also inspecting vehicles for potential issues and providing customer service. Job Summary:
The Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and basic repairs on vehicles, focusing on lubrication and fluid levels.
This role involves tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks and refills, tire rotations, and basic inspections.
Lube Technicians should be able to work efficiently and accurately, while adhering to safety standards and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing Oil Changes: Draining old oil, replacing oil filters, and refilling with the correct type and amount of oil.
Fluid Checks and Replenishment: Checking and topping off various fluids, including coolant, brake fluid, and windshield washer fluid.
Tire Rotations and Inspections: Rotating tires, checking tire pressure, and inspecting tires for wear and damage.
Filter Replacements: Replacing air filters, cabin filters, and fuel filters as needed.
Basic Inspections: Conducting visual inspections of vehicles for potential issues, such as leaks, worn parts, or low fluid levels.
Customer Service: Greeting customers, explaining services, and answering questions.
Documentation: Accurately documenting all work performed on repair orders.
Shop Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Tool and Equipment Usage: Safely and effectively using tools and equipment.
Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
