Motor Vehicle Mechanic

• Leads and monitors the following to ensure a safe and efficient service
• Develops maintenance procedures, instructions, plans, schedules, and training programs. 
• Identifies, coordinates, directs, and conducts maintenance and condition inspections for light automotive and tire repair services.
• Selects and assigns work to be performed, relative to employee skills.
• Determines and prioritizes shop repair orders, to include labor, material and equipment requirement. 
• Provides instruction and training on industrial safety, inspection and use of shop, and Personal Protective Equipment. 
• Analyzes technical problems involving specialized equipment through a review of historical reports, and on-site evaluation/trouble shooting. 
• Writes and implements standard operating procedures related to specialized equipment and maintenance support. 
• Documents required inspections, Operator Daily Inspection Checklist, Safety Meeting, and training programs.
• Maintains a continuing program of review, revision, and improvement of procedures, instructions, and technical specifications for respective section. 
• Keeps management informed of daily operations and provides the necessary data to evaluate the performance of respective section.  Compiles and enforces safety practices with employees.  Provides professional and courteous customer service. 
• May compile reports for annex and fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years related experience or equivalent.
• Must have good communication skills, both written and verbally.
• Must hold required ASE Certifications or be able to obtain certification within six (6) months of employment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.

Desired:

• Class AB Guam Driver’s License.
