Job Description
As a Career Services Advisor, you’ll play a key role in connecting education to employment—the ultimate measure of student success and the heart of our mission. You’ll coach students through every stage of job readiness, while also building strong employer partnerships that create externship-to-hire and direct hire opportunities. Your work ensures graduates launch meaningful careers in their field of study and that the college continues to meet or exceed national accreditation benchmarks.
Provide one-on-one and group career coaching: resumes, interviews, job search strategies, and networking skills.
Facilitate engaging workshops, classroom presentations, and career readiness events.
Build and grow partnerships with local healthcare employers for externship and direct hire pathways.
Host employer events—job fairs, on-campus presentations, and mock interviews—to connect students with opportunities.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to support externship-to-hire and clinical-to-hire success.
Track and report outcomes using tools like PowerBI and CampusVue/CampusNexus; ensure data accuracy for compliance and accreditation.
Promote the college brand through community outreach and serve as an ambassador at industry events.
Support campus events such as Senior Day and graduation/pinning ceremonies.
Meet or exceed graduate employment benchmarks (70%+ employment rates required by accreditors).
Achieve at least 50% externship-to-hire conversion in Allied Health and 65% clinical-to-hire in Nursing.
Ensuring 100% completion of student career readiness milestones (resumes, mock interviews, exit meetings, etc.).
Expanding employer relationships and generating new opportunities each month.
Maintaining complete, real-time documentation to support accreditation and institutional reporting
Pay Range
The hourly pay range for this position is $28.00 (minimum), $30.00 (midpoint), and $32.00 (maximum).*
*Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent education/experience considered.
Minimum 5 years combined work experience in fields with transferrable skills and responsibilities.
2+ years in career advising, recruitment, coaching, outreach, or related field; Career Services experience preferred.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, employers, and faculty.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with PowerBI and CampusVue/CampusNexus a plus.
Background or knowledge in healthcare careers is a strong advantage.
