Diesel Mechanic 

Responsibilities

• Perform repair of electrical, hydraulic system, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Utilize vehicle diagnostic software/systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts, usage and accounting for repair times.
• Review, assign and/or complete repairs identified on Driver Inspection Reports (DRIVRs).
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Perform other maintenance related work as required.

Skills

• Proven work experience as a mechanic
• Reliable attendance record
• Valid CDL Drivers license, with current medical card (preferred, not required)
