Amerit Fleet Solution is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician skilled in Cummins Insite diagnostics, after-treatment systems, Allison transmissions, hydraulics, and air brake repairs. Must be able to troubleshoot and perform preventive and corrective maintenance efficiently. Must be comfortable creating repair orders and working independently.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
What the Diesel Technician role looks like:
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to heavy-duty Class 7 - 8 trailers, dollies, and switchers.Ā
- Perform services to anti-lock brakes, wheel end components, electrical, brakes body, minor body work, and roll-up doors.Ā
- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computerĀ
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation requiredĀ
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/proceduresĀ
- Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehiclesĀ
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenanceĀ
- Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehiclesĀ
- Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessaryĀ
- Perform other duties as requiredĀ

Key Competencies & Education
Ā What our ideal candidate looks like:
- At least 1-3 years of experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical schoolĀ
- ASE Certifications ā preferredĀ Ā
- Must have valid Driverās License- Class CĀ
- Commercial Driverās License class āAā or āB āpreferredĀ
- Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and emailĀ
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)Ā
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properlyĀ Ā
- Must provide own hand tools & toolboxĀ

- Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the jobĀ
- Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noiseĀ
