Automotive General Service Technician / Mechanic

Job Overview:
We are looking for technicians who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. This is the position for you if you are looking master your craft as your gain experience. The technicians we seek are responsible for excellence in the work they perform, the environment they keep, and their efficiency to maximize weekly performance. Our culture is highly protected and candidates must have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what's right for our guests.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
General Service Technicians / Mechanics perform all maintenance and repair services including but not limited to; oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, tire mount and balancing, fluid services and more
Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively
Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
Ensure all preventive maintenance reports are complete and accurate
Comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know
Assist in all housekeeping functions as directed by Management
Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate the extent of any damage or malfunctions on a guest's vehicle
Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Positive attitude and a desire to serve others
Current driver’s license
Previous automotive experience required
Skills & Knowledge of the following: lube and fluid flush experience, tire rotation, brake replacement, alignments, and basic automotive maintenance
This position provides the opportunity to learn and work with highly skilled technicians
We would prefer a high school or equivalent diploma, but this is not required
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools
Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
Drive manual transmission vehicles
Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
Efficiently navigate a computer
