Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes, tire balancing and rotation, and cooling system flushes as outlined on repair orders.
- Sell lubrication services, safety inspections, and other related services; maintain records for regular customers and follow up as needed.
- Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replenish as necessary.
- Check and adjust tire pressure.
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
- Save and tag parts for warranty or customer requests.
- Assess vehicles for additional safety or service needs.
- Notify the service advisor if additional work is needed, if the outlined work is unnecessary, or if repairs cannot be completed on time.
- Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders.
- Conduct road tests to ensure vehicle functionality.
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and stay updated on technical bulletins.
- Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean and notify the service advisor of any changes in vehicle condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop area.
- Account for and return dealership-owned tools and manuals in good condition.
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and safety procedures.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and report any safety issues to management.

Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable of and can interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, commissions, and percentages, and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
- Valid Driver’s License.
